Saudi War Has Achieved Nothing but Defeat, Shame: Yemen’s Defense Minister
Rokna: Yemeni Defense Minister Major General Mohammad Nasser al-Atifi said Saudi Arabia has failed to achieve any of the objectives of its devastating war against the impoverished Arab country.
Six years have passed since the brutal aggression against Yemen has started, and the coalition of aggression has reaped nothing but defeat and shame,” Atifi said on Saturday, according to al-Masirah news website.
He added that the countries of the coalition of aggression and those who support them are going through “the beginning of the end” and will regret it.
The Yemeni minister said, that the country is in an advanced stage of military readiness and is capable of confronting the technology of aggression.
Saudi Arabia launched a devastating military aggression against Yemen in March 2015 in collaboration with a number of its allied states, such as the UAE, and with arms support from the US and several Western countries.
The aim was to return to power the Riyadh-backed regime of former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and defeat the Houthi Ansarullah movement that has taken control of state matters.
Since then, over 100,000 people have been killed, according to the US-based Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED).
The war has failed to achieve its goals, but killed tens of thousands of innocent Yemenis and destroyed the impoverished country’s infrastructure. The UN refers to the situation in Yemen as the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
Local sources told Syria’s official news agency SANA that US-backed SDF militants on Saturday forced people out of their homes and used bulldozers to destroy them.
They also seized all the surrounding agricultural land in the vicinity of the camp in order to use them for military purposes, the sources added.
Security conditions are reportedly deteriorating in SDF-controlled areas in Hasakah, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqah amid ongoing raids and arrests of civilians by the militants.
Local Syrians complain that the SDF’s constant raids and arrest campaigns have generated a state of frustration and instability, severely affecting their businesses and livelihood.
Residents accuse the US-sponsored militants of stealing crude oil and refusing to spend money on service sectors.
Local councils affiliated with the SDF have also been accused of financial corruption.Follow the Official Rokna NEWS Telegram Channel For More and fresh NEWS.
