President: Iran’s Economy on Path to Stability, Growth

In comments at a meeting of the Economic Coordination Headquarters on Tuesday, Rouhani said the investment made in development of Iran’s infrastructures has enabled the economy to withstand severe shocks of the sanctions.

Despite the unprecedented pressure of the sanctions and the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, the economic indices in Iran in summer have indicated promising signals, he added.

After two difficult years, Iran’s economy is on the verge of return to stability and growth, he said.

In remarks in November, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called on the Iranian officials to concentrate efforts on thwarting and overcoming the sanctions instead of seeking their removal, pointing to the unsuccessful outcome of years of negotiations for lifting the sanctions.

The Leader has repeatedly called on the authorities to settle the country’s economic problems on the basis of the Resistance Economy policies.
