US seizes 27 domains of Iranian websites

The United States Department of Justice announced on its official website on Wednesday that a number of websites used by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) had been seized under the pretext of preventing the expansion of Iran's global influence, iranpress.com reported.

The US Department of Justice claimed that Iran has been using those domains illegally to promote the country's influence worldwide.

The US Department of Justice further said all those websites have violated the US sanctions against the Iranian government and the IRGC.

The takedown was done in coordination with US technology companies and followed an earlier seizure of 92 domains used by the IRGC.

Trump administration continues its hostile policies against Iran, while the latest results of the 2020 US Presidential Election show that Trump's chances of staying in the White House have greatly diminished.
