Eslami: Grossi Acts Under Influence of Global Powers

According to Rokna Mohammad Eslami, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said: “The issue with the IAEA is currently being pursued in accordance with parliamentary law. The invitation extended to the Agency for supervision over the fuel replacement process at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was on the agenda and was carried out with the approval of the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council. Two inspectors came, monitored the process, and left.”

Eslami added: “The important point is that the process must occur according to the law, and negotiations are ongoing. Meetings have been held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the IAEA, with a third session forthcoming. Our main concern is that the leadership and management system of the Agency operates under the influence of dominant powers. The core issue lies with the Director General (Grossi).”

He stated: “The Agency’s regulations are documented, the UN Charter is binding, and must be adhered to. The fact that they behave in a dual and selective standard manner is a management issue within the Agency (Grossi), which constitutes our main concern with the IAEA. This matter is being actively pursued, and Iran has carried out its legal and political measures.”

The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization concluded: “The snapback mechanism is not a new issue and was anticipated in advance. Our adversaries are always seeking excuses to exert pressure on the Iranian nation. The ultimate objective of our enemies is the submission of Iran.”
