Also, the two sides exchanged their views on the scientific aspects of cooperation between Iran and Russia in the international arena.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation have widespread cooperation in the fight against terrorism so that high-ranking officials of the two countries are consulting with each other regularly in this regard.

Widespread cooperation between Iran and Russia in the fight against terrorism and the two countries’ assistance to Syria led to the defeat of the ISIL terrorist group so that major parts of Syrian land and territory have been cleansed from the existence of terrorists and put under the control of Syrian army.

In addition, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia help the Government of Iraq to defeat ISIL terrorist group.
