Woman 'abducted and raped' after being 'bundled into car' as police release CCTV

Detectives are appealing for information after a woman was allegedly bundled into a car and raped by two men in east London.

Police have released two CCTV images of a man with distinctive tattoos on his fingers who they would like to speak to.

Officers said the picture was taken from a shop close to the scene of where the woman said she was abducted in Ilford.

The victim alleged the pair bundled her into a car, drove her a short distance away, raped her, then punched her repeatedly in the face in the November 25 attack.

She eventually managed to escape the vehicle and seek help.

Police rushed to the scene where they found her injured, detectives said.

The victim has since been receiving support from specialist officers, the force added.

Three men were arrested in relation to the incident, and one faces charges, according to a statement from the Met.

The force said:: "On 27 November 2020, three men were arrested in Lincolnshire in connection with the investigation, one of whom has since been charged with rape. The other two men have been released under investigation.

"Detectives from the East Area Public Protection Unit are investigating, and they are appealing for assistance in tracing another male in connection with the incident."

Anyone who recognises the man pictured is asked to call 101 and quote CAD 5887/15FEB.
