Kilmarnock stabbing: Dad's chilling rant before killing ex-wife and her daughter

A dad posted a chilling message on Facebook just hours before murdering his ex-wife and her daughter last night.

Steven Robertson, 40, stabbed NHS worker ex Emma Coupland and step-daughter Nicole Anderson to death before he died in a car crash as he tried to flee.

Police are scouring CCTV after witnesses claimed Robertson, who split from Emma last summer, was seen sitting in his car outside the hospital the night before the fatal stabbings, the Daily Record reports.

In a vicious post just before he carried out his horrific attack, Robertson accused his estranged wife of being a liar and cheat who had turned his children against him.

In the now deleted post, he wrote: “Well well well, I never thought you would turn the kids away from me.

"I'll no need a phone anymore.

"I never in my life after 20 years together thought you would do this.

“You keep saying what you won't because I don’t care anymore, the right people know the truth, that's all that matters to me.

"Thanks for all the people who told me stuff, there are some right good people out there.

"I am going to close my Facebook for good and I am not going to have a phone because I don’t need one anymore."

Emma, a mum of four daughters, died at the scene, while Nicole was pronounced dead at the hospital following last night's stabbings.

Robertson, 40, died in a crash on the C50 a short time later, and Police Scotland say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the tragedy.

Nicole's grieving fiancee Vicky shared pictures and videos of the pair together as she paid tribute on Friday.

Vicky wrote: "My beautiful wee angel. I will love you forever.

"Hoping I could wake up and this all be a dream. I’m completely broken."

She added in another post: "So glad I have all these memories with you.

"You'll never know how much you mean to me. I will love you till the end of time my darling."

A police spokesperson said: "Detectives are continuing enquiries following three incidents in the Kilmarnock area on Thursday, 4 February 2021.

"The first incident occurred around 7.45pm outside Crosshouse Hospital, when a 39-year-old woman was found injured in the car park. She received medical care but she died at the scene.

"The second incident occurred twenty minutes later on Portland Street, where a 24-year-old woman had been stabbed. Emergency services attended and she was taken to Crosshouse hospital where she later died.

"A further incident, a fatal road crash, occurred on the C50, a road between the B7036 and the A76. Emergency services attended but the 40-year-old male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Family relatives have been made aware.

"Enquiries carried out so far have indicated that the incidents were linked and an investigation is under way to establish the exact circumstances of what happened.

"Officers are not looking for anyone else as part of their investigation and there is no ongoing threat to the public."

Chief Superintendent Faroque Hussain added: “A number of locations remain cordoned off as officers continue to conduct enquiries.

"We are working to confirm the full circumstances of what has happened.

"If anyone has any information which could assist our enquiries, please do contact us.

“Understandably, people will be shocked by what has happened.

"We are still in the process of establishing the full circumstances, however, I would like to reassure people that there is no wider threat to the community.

"Officers will be on patrol and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers."Follow the Official Rokna NEWS Telegram Channel For More and fresh NEWS.
