A 16-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in the chest and legs at house.
Officers were called to an address in Chatham Place, Preston, last Wednesday afternoon where the teenager was found with stab injuries.
He was initially treated at the scene but was transferred to hospital in a critical condition.
Lancashire Police has confirmed that the boy died last night (December 27).
Jamie Dixon, 18, from Leyland, has been charged with attempted murder and along with a 16-year-old boy.
A 17-year-old boy has also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Speaking after the incident, DCI Lee Wilson, of the Force Major Investigation, said: "While we have now charged three males as part of this investigation, our enquiries are very much ongoing.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank members of the community for the invaluable help with this investigation so far but would renew my plea that anyone with information in relation to this offence comes forward"
