he said: the approved price of raw milk is 3100 Tomans. But to date, not only has this price not been observed in buying and selling raw milk, but it has also increased by 30%, and dairy companies buy raw milk from farmers at a price of more than 4,000 Tomans.

In an interview with ISNA, Mohammad Reza Bani Taba stated that the Market Regulation Headquarters announced a decision on September 17 that the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization should immediately set new prices for dairy products and raw milk due to the increase in the cost of livestock inputs. "No action has been taken since then, and production costs are still rising," he said.

He continued: The approved price of raw milk is 3100 Tomans, but to date, not only has this price not been observed in buying and selling raw milk, but it has also increased by 30%, and dairy companies buy raw milk from farmers at a price of more than 4000 Tomans. . Farmers also believe that the cost of raw milk for them is higher than the government-approved price.

A spokesman for the Dairy Industry Association said: "Transportation costs have increased by 40%. Petrochemical prices have risen by 50% in six months. Also, the approved price of one tenth of fat is 50 Tomans, which is traded in the market at a price of more than 70 Tomans. Tetrapack wrapping paper is not found in the market and even if it is found, it is very expensive and despite these conditions, the price of dairy products is still suppressed.

Bani Taba continued: "During the past two months, the dairy industry has repeatedly corresponded with the Market Support and Regulation Organization and demanded that this issue be addressed, but no attention is paid and the dairy factories are under pressure."

He said that 10 dairy products, which are priced by the market regulation headquarters and comprise 80% of the factories' products, have brought companies to the brink of losses. "If the prices are not corrected, the dairies will increase their production capacity," he said. They lose and with these conditions it will no longer be possible to produce.

A spokesman for the Dairy Products Association said in another part of his speech: For example, 1.5 percent fat milk per liter is priced at 5,600 tomans, while the cost price is about 7,000 tomans.

In the end, he said: "When meat or poultry becomes more expensive, no one blames the producer or company for being expensive, but in the dairy industry, manufacturing companies are always wrongly accused."
